In the fourth quarter of 2021, the top 5 news and magazines apps in Hungary showed varied performance in terms of weekly downloads and active users. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, provides insights into the trends for each app.

RTL.hu hírek, sztárok, videók saw a significant spike in weekly downloads, especially mid-quarter. Downloads peaked at 21.6K in the week of November 22, followed by a substantial drop towards the end of December, settling at approximately 4.7K. Active users for the app also increased notably, reaching a high of 59.2K in mid-December before slightly declining to around 51.8K by the end of the quarter.

Hírstart - hírek és időjárás maintained relatively stable weekly downloads throughout the quarter, with a notable peak of 1.2K in the final week of December. The app did not show significant fluctuations in active users.

Telex experienced a moderate week-to-week download trend, with a major surge in the last week of December, reaching 5.5K downloads. This spike came after relatively low download numbers hovering around 400 to 900 during the earlier weeks of the quarter.

Index.hu had consistent download numbers, with a noticeable increase in mid-December, peaking at 512 downloads. Active users for Index.hu remained steady throughout the quarter, with a slight upward trend, ending the quarter at approximately 28.2K active users.
